Ips Beetle Killled Lodge Pole Pine

Here's Rick getting ready to take out a Lodge Pole that was killed by the Ips beetle. We were very lucky this year, as this was the only tree we lost. No Pine Beetles! What a miracle. We discovered the only safe time to cut is in the cold months when you won't attract the beetles by the scent of the fresh cut trees.

Autumn in the Rockies

The Aspen were just gorgeous this past weekend. We also had snow for our great niece, Halle, to make a few snowballs to throw!
