Here's a sneak peek at two new items in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog. I used the new Shades of Spring designer paper and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit to punch out the butterflies.
This is one of the cards we made at my Christmas Stamp A Stack. We used Serene Snowflakes from the Mini. Aren't these colors yummy! I used Rich Razzleberry, Almost Artichoke, Brilliant Blue and Elegant Eggplant. The saying is from the Christmas Punch Hostess set.
Here's a picture of our tree in our backyard in Broomfield where we got about 22", and twice as much snow at the cabin. Needless to say we didn't get the deck shoveled. We couldn't get to the shovel! We snowshoed in and it was so deep we sunk in to our knees. Hope it melts some.
Here's Rick getting ready to take out a Lodge Pole that was killed by the Ips beetle. We were very lucky this year, as this was the only tree we lost. No Pine Beetles! What a miracle. We discovered the only safe time to cut is in the cold months when you won't attract the beetles by the scent of the fresh cut trees.
Isn't she the cutest! Here is a card I made with my top note die, and the new Build A Bear stamp set, Beary Best Friends. I made this card for a shoebox swap with my fabulous Front Range Stampers group.
Our niece, Jamie, came over to scrap and I made a door sign for my fil. I used the Stampin' Up! 9X9 chipboard and the Autumn Days stamp set and Autumn Traditions DSP. Perfect for his apartment in Nebraska!
Isn't she cute!!! I recently purchased this bear at the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake. The new Holiday Mini Catalog has many Build A Bear stamps and die cuts. The Mini will be available on the Stampin' Up! website on Sept. 1st.
Here's a picture of one of the cards that will be made at my Stamp A Stack on September 9th & 10th. If you are in the Denver Metro area, you are invited to attend this fun event. You will make 3 each of 3 different cards and a card purse to keep them in for $20.00. Email me at AnnStamps@att.net by Tuesday, the 8th to reserve your spot. Can't attend but want the cards and purse. I'll make them for you for only $25.00. Shipping is extra.
Here's July's Technique Class punch art card. I used the new Designer Paper called Autumn Traditions. I used the tree from Thoughts and Prayers and "thumped" it with markers to color the leaves. The saying is from the Owl Together Now set. If you are in the Denver Metro area you are welcome to attend a class on the 4th Wed and Thurs of every month.
The new catalog is here!!! You can start ordering from it on Wednesday. Here is a card using the new in colors and the Razzle Dazzle and Circle Circus stamp sets, using the Technique Junkie Depth of Field technique.
Here's some picture of my last Technique Class. It was a full house with school out. Christian enjoyed his first stamping class, but could have done with less pink!
It's finally Springtime in the Rockies. The Pasque flowers are blooming, and the snow is melting. What a gorgeous view this is of the Indian Peaks from Golden Gate State Park.
Here are 2 get well cards I made for friends. I used the Bella Birds Designer Series Paper in the first. I ran a small piece of the Sticky Pages through the Big Shot with the Butterfly die and then added the Chunky Silver Glitter.
This set is so versatile. Here's a card that Joyce made at my Stamp a Stack, where she came up with her own design. It's so cute, the rest of us copied and I'm happy to share it with you!
Here's a card made with the reinker watercolor technique. We will be making a card similar to this at the next Technique Class. I used the lily from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, shimmery white cardstock, and white embossing powder.
Wet the flowers liberally with your Aqua Painter and then add drops of ink and let it spread. Let dry naturally or heat gun.
Here is a card we made at my Stamp A Stack last week. The base is Cameo Coral, and we used the Walk in the Park Designer paper for the Butterflies. The stamped strip used the Garden Greetings stamp set. Oval All and the Scallop punch was used for the greeting. A gray taffeta ribbon finished it off.
Still too much snow to drive up to the cabin! Hopefully it's melting this week, as we are going for part of the weekend. This is our nephew, Scott, who recently moved here. He has no idea how much wood he will be cutting this spring!
There won't be much stamping at the cabin for awhile. Reports of snow in the Gilpin County area range up to 52" of snow and it's still coming down. We got at least a foot of snow in Broomfield, and it's heavy and wet. The snow is much needed as it's been an extremely dry winter. Wish it didn't come all at once, though.
